If you had an account with HisHolySpace.com or FaithitUp.com, you can log-in on the Christian.com homepage. All of your information has been brought over to the new site.

If you formerly had registered on the old Christian.com site (to customize your weather, "My Church", and "My Links"), you will have to create a new profile on the new Christian.com site. Please click on the Signup button on the homepage...it only take a minute to join!

If you have an old email account with us, you can login at http://mail.christian.com There is a link to this login page on the Christian.com homepage in the Login/Signup box. But you MUST use the mail.christian.com page for logging into email- the UserName/Password box on the Christian.com homepage will not work for your email UserName and Password.

This Friday, July 11th, HisHolySpace.com and FaithitUp.com will join to form the new Christian.com community- the premiere social network for Christians! This unprecedented merger of Christian on-line communities will be discussed on a live webcast this Thursday evening at 9:00 p.m. EST U.S.

This new launch is only the beginning. We are already at work to build and even better Christian.com site which will not only be a social networking community, but offer so much more to help Christians connect with one another and grow in the Christian walk. We hope that you, too will catch a vision of what is possible in the days and years to come.

Even though we are excited about this change, it is still change, which can be naturally hard and even a little sad as we say good-bye to the “old sites” to welcome in the new. We will be taking some time on the webcast on Thursday night to reflect on the past two years of the HisHolySpace.com and FaithitUp.com communities, and all of the wonderful things God has done.

Over the next few months, there will be two important phases for the new Christian.com community...

PHASE 1

"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is, For brethren to dwell together in unity!" Psalm 133:1. This Psalm that David wrote so many years ago is still very true today, and I am excited about representing the Unity of the Body of Christ as we bring together two on-line Christian communities- HisHolySpace.com and FaithItUp.com - to become the starting place of the new Christian.com community.

This first Christian.com site launch will happen in July 2008, and we are calling it the "Pre-Beta" Christian.com site. The site's features and functionality will remain similar to what the members of HisHolySpace and FaithItUp are used to, which is very close to the functionality of MySpace. Members of both sites will have most or all of their information brought over to the new site, so there will be very little for members to have to do to enjoy the new site.

PHASE 2

MySpace is relaunching their site just a few days from now. As much as we might like the existing Christian.com, HisHolySpace, and FaithItUp sites, upgrades and changes are essential to keep pace with the rapidly changing Internet and the world of social networking.

We are already working on the site upgrade for Christian.com. This will be a technology platform upgrade, allowing us to do more with the site and provide more features, easier navigation, and improved performance. This will be the "beta launch" of Christian.com, which (as the Lord provides) will happen later this fall. More details on this Phase 2 launch will follow.

We hope you are as excited as we are about the future of the Christian.com community!

It is with great pleasure that I am announcing something that has been several years in the making, and has already involved thousands of hours of hard work and prayer by myself and many others.

In some ways the journey for me started back in the mid-90’s, but in other ways it is only now beginning. I envisioned an on-line Christian community, a “social network”, many years before MySpace or Facebook were in existence. Finally many years later, in 2008, we are getting ready to finally launch Christian.com, and my goal for the site is ambitious yet simple…to build the best Christian social network in the world.

But not just a social network. The site should be more than a “Christian Myspace” or a “Christian Facebook”. We can do better than a copy-cat of a secular site, and the vision is much bigger than that. Christians need something special on-line, something unique, something…God-ordained. And it has to be something that the community builds- not just me. I am committed to the community - the site members who want to be a part of this vision - coming together and being a part of designing and building Christian.com. It will not happen overnight, and will take some time and a lot of changes and improvements before we get it right. But I think the outcome of the process will be something truly unique in Christian history- a community of millions of Christians worldwide “linked in Jesus” and growing together in spiritual maturity and in love for Christ and for one another.

I hope that you, too will catch a vision of what is possible in the days and years to come...

Where we are Christ's eyes seeing people for what they can be in Christ, we are Christ's arms open wide for the hurting, and we are Christ's legs running to the prodigal son who has returned...

Imagine a place where unbelievers can come, wondering if they will find hypocrites, division, and condemnation, but instead are pleasantly surprised to find people filled with God’s love, diverse yet working together in unity, and are drawn in by seeing "something different about these people"...

Christian.com is arguably the best Christian domain name in the world, and is something I am honored to be entrusted with. Having the opportunity to purchase the domain was nothing short of a miracle, and God's provision of resources has been miraculous as well to bring us to this point over the last several years. Many have come alongside to help, and we believe that together we can make Christian.com not only the best Christian domain name, but the best on-line Christian community in the world!

So that is a little about the vision for the future...so how do we get there? That is the question this blog will explore and report on over the next days, months, and years.
